Description

Rare early 19th-century bill of exchange issued in Paris by the prestigious banking house Pillet-Will. Dated 10 December 1833, and payable in Vienna to financier Simon A. Fina. This historic financial document bears the handwritten signature of Alexis Pillet-Will (1805–1871), a prominent French banker and later governor of the Banque de France. The Pillet-Will family played a major role in the development of modern French banking and were known for their vast financial network across Europe. This bill, denominated in florins and beautifully preserved, is an exceptional piece of European financial history. A must-have for collectors of early banking and autograph material.
