Scarce 1869 bill of exchange issued by Rütten & Bonn of New York, drawn on Paris for 15,000 Francs and payable to Messrs. Leiden, Trembley & Co. Finely engraved and signed, representing strong transatlantic banking ties post-Civil War. A beautiful example of early global finance.
