Description

Original Republic of Turkey Ministry of Finance 5% Premium Bearer Bond (Maliye Vekâleti Hamiline Ait %5 Faizli ve İkramiyeli Tahvil), issued in 1938 with a nominal value of 20 Turkish Lira. Printed in brown and gold tones with full attached coupon sheet below. This attractive fiscal document represents one of the early domestic bond issues of the young Turkish Republic, used to finance state modernization and infrastructure programs under post-Atatürk economic planning. The bond bears the facsimile signatures of Finance Minister Fuat Ağralı and Central Bank officials, with elaborate guilloche border and crisp typography typical of 1930s Turkish fiscal printing.

An appealing and well-preserved example for collectors of Ottoman and early Republican fiscal history.
