Drawn by Gio. Lorenzo Giera at Smyrna (Ottoman Empire) and payable to Jewish merchant, Daniel d’Iseppo Treves of Trieste. A fine example of early Levantine-Austrian trade finance, written in Italian and dated 16 Giugno 1806. Rare Ottoman-Trieste commercial correspondence on blue laid paper.
