Elegant specimen bill of exchange issued by Banco de Nicaragua, engraved by Waterlow & Sons Ltd., London. Features an allegorical female figure representing Commerce, holding a caduceus and olive branch. This specimen highlights early Anglo-Nicaraguan financial ties through Lazard Brothers & Co. of London. Printed in fine steel engraving on crisp paper with ornate borderwork. A beautiful piece of Latin American financial history.
