Description
An original bill of exchange issued by the Oriental Bank Corporation, dated 3 March 1882, drawn in Calcutta and payable in London at their Threadneedle Street branch. This “Second of Exchange” was issued for £112 sterling, payable to Leo Zauder Esq. and signed by the bank’s representatives.
Condition report:
Excellent overall preservation, with fold lines and minor edge wear consistent with age. Clear ink, firm signatures, and intact stamp. An important specimen of colonial finance and Indo-British banking history.
