Beautifully engraved bond featuring an allegorical vignette of Liberty and Justice flanked by historical figures, ornate green border, full text in both English and Spanish, and embossed seal of the Republic of Cuba. Issued to cover part of Cuba’s external public debt with an interest rate of 4.5%, maturing June 30, 1977. The bond is numbered 63410, with multiple coupons attached (some missing).

These bonds are a fascinating glimpse into Cuba’s pre-revolutionary financial obligations and are popular among collectors of Latin American and defaulted sovereign debt instruments.
